Classy look, good quality, a little pricey., January 30, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Amy Butler Bucharest Quilted Coverlet Charcoal GreyKing I paid about $85 including shipping for this coverlet, and while I like the product, that is a bit more money than I think it's worth (I'd say $50 total). The stitching is white thread, not grey as the product image suggests, so the pattern isn't as subtle as I'd expected; it still looks classy. I bought the King size for our queen bed because I wanted to make sure it was long enough, and I am very happy with that decision as a Queen size would have been too short. The product is all cotton which makes it soft to the touch, and it's a good thickness (a little less than 1/8") so it's perfect for use in winter with an electric blanket underneath - it really keeps the heat in. It also "grips" the blanket underneath it pretty well so we haven't had problems with it sliding off, as I have experienced with some synthetic fabric coverlets in the past. I haven't washed the coverlet yet so I can't speak to its durability in that respect, but I will update this review when I have more... Read more

I happened to stop by a Marshalls yesterday and there it was for only $39.99! Much better deal. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the thread is white, so the pattern is less subtle than it seems in pictures, but its still very nice. Overall I'd recommend this quilt, but check around for the best price before buying it online.
Waiting for tax return to get this..., January 14, 2012 This review is from: Amy Butler Bucharest Full/Queen Quilted Coverlet ...and SO GLAD I DID! I was willing to pay the asking price from Amazon because I loved it so much, but was at Ross last night and got it for $13.99! It is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous, a rich and deep slate grey with the white quilting, the fabric almost seems "polished" and it is substantial, feels well made. Even though I was lucky enough to find mine for such an impressive bargain I would STILL pay what Amazon is asking for this, as it IS INDEED *THAT* nice and feels of such a good quality that it could be handed down.
