I didn't think in my Victorian house the style would go but it looked wonderful and rather than a temporary fix, it's become a permanent fixture on my bed in my new house--in the Winter as a blanket and in the Summer as the sole cover.
The pattern is very versatile--I could see it in a modern bedroom but looks very "quilt-like" in my Victorian one. The price was fantastic through Amazon. The size is great for my oversized Queen bed and I do believe it appropriately shrank a little after the first wash. There is no need to iron it after sticking it in the wash machine--it comes out soft and not terribly wrinkly--and I am not a person that often will grab a load of laundry out immediately after the dryer goes off.
